Paint Color Match — Privacy Policy

Paint Color Match ("the App") is developed by Mobile Card Games & Travel Apps LLC and is available for iOS on the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play. This Privacy Policy covers both versions of the App and explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected. Where the two versions differ, the difference is noted below.

1. Data We Collect

The app handles the following data:

• Camera images: Photos you take with the camera to identify and match paint colors. All paint matching runs entirely on your device using on-device image processing — your photos are never uploaded to any server and never leave your device. This is true on both iOS and Android.
• Usage analytics (iOS only): The iOS app uses Google Firebase Analytics to log anonymous app events (for example, which screens are used and when a purchase is completed), along with usage and session data (app opens, session duration), device information, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier collected by the Firebase SDK. No photos or photo content are ever included in analytics. The Android app does not include any analytics SDK and collects no analytics data.
• Purchase information: Records of your subscription transactions, managed by Apple (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android) together with RevenueCat.
• Install attribution (iOS only): The iOS app requests an attribution token from Apple (AdServices) to measure which Apple Search Ads campaign led to the install. This token contains no personal information, does not use your advertising identifier (IDFA), and is used only in aggregate. The Android app collects no install-attribution data and does not request or use the Android advertising ID.

The app does not collect your name, email address, location, or contacts, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to provide the app's features:

• Camera images are analyzed on your device to find the closest matching paint colors from the app's built-in color catalog.
• Analytics events (iOS only) help us understand which features are used so we can improve the app.
• Purchase records unlock your subscription and keep it active across your devices.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

Your photos are never shared with anyone. The app shares limited, non-photo data with these services:

• Google Firebase Analytics (iOS app only; Google privacy policy): Receives the usage and session data, device information, and app-instance identifier described above.
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): Manages subscriptions on both platforms. RevenueCat receives purchase transaction tokens from Apple or Google Play and a random anonymous app-user ID — never your name, email, or photos. Payments themselves are processed by Apple or Google Play; we never see your payment card details.
• Apple (iOS; Apple privacy policy): Processes purchases and provides the Search Ads attribution token.
• Google Play (Android; Google privacy policy): Processes purchases for the Android app.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• On your device: Your settings and paint-match history are stored locally on your device.
• On our servers: We do not operate any server that stores your photos or personal data.
• Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

5. Data Security

Because paint matching happens entirely on your device, your photos are never transmitted anywhere. The limited analytics and purchase data described above is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Deny camera permission in your device settings (Settings on iOS, or App permissions on Android), which prevents the app from capturing any images.
• Remove all app data by uninstalling the app.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data, including the rights to know, access, correct, and delete it. Because we do not hold your data on servers we operate, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete on request — deleting the App deletes your data. Where the App does process data in transit, or a third-party service described above collects data, you may contact us at the email below to exercise your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. In some regions, including the European Union, a higher minimum age applies to consent for data processing; the same statement applies there — we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the applicable age.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting user data on any system we operate, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
